Samsung Electronics Co’s mobile chief said on Tuesday that pre-orders for Galaxy Note 8 are highest as compared to previous Note devices in the series. The Note 8 will go on sale this Friday in the U.S, South Korea and other countries.
The South Korean tech giant is betting on its latest premium smartphone to keep its market dominance and compete with Apple Inc’s new iPhones, which will by launched later today.
Samsung’s Mobile Communications Business President, DJ Koh said that the company has received encouraging feedback on the Note 8 after receiving pre-orders from nearly 40 countries. Since the August 23 New York launch, several partners and customers said the primary response is quite positive.
The Note 8 carries a price tag in a range of $930 to $960, depending on the network carrier. The price will also include a dialing and data plan.
